Hot air balloons are one of the most photographed sports, and we encourage you to capture as many jaw-dropping moments as possible. Please note: By entering the National Balloon Classic property, you are entering an area where you may be recorded or photographed for commercial purposes.
- Morning Competitions and Evening Flights. Get a first look at the balloons during the morning competitions flights starting at 6:30 a.m., with gates opening at 6.
- Balloon Rides. Looking for more thrills and not just pretty pictures? Hot air balloon rides are offered every morning or evening (weather permitting) at 6 a.m.
- Special Events. In addition to the daily balloon flights, there are a variety of event highlights throughout the week. New this year is the RC Balloon Display, with remote-controlled balloons that are two stories tall (starting Wednesday, August 2).
- Live Music. The National Balloon Classic has more than just balloons to keep you entertained. Each night, there will be live music on the TruBank Stage.

Hot air balloons are scheduled to launch each evening at 6:30 p.m. when winds are calmest, and the air is most stable. Flight decisions, including if balloons will launch at the balloon field, or land at the balloon field, are made approximately 30 minutes before each flight.
