  1. Great park. Sep 2019. The park is separated into three major parts, the upper area, lower beach and lower trails. The upper area is mostly for parking. There is a short trail to the lower area’s beach, or you can walk down the steep hill to the lower parking lot. The beach is mostly rock, until you get past the mid-tide line.

  3. And so my birding went when I visited Tolmie State Park the morning of the 25th of June 2020. I arrived in the 9:00 a.m. hour and parked at the upper parking lot by the entrance to the park. There is a second parking lot further down the road once inside the park that is closer to the beach.

  8. First of all, this park requires either a WA State Discover Pass or a day pass for $10 cash. There are a few short hiking trails which are great for kids or dogs. The beach area is great if you want to find sand dollars. We've also seen a lot of little crabs, a few jellyfish, and other animals.
