Jan 21, 2019 · How to Get to Shiraito Falls: Karuizawa Station. Getting to Karuizawa Station. Karuizawa Station lies on the on Hokuriku Shinkansen line, which is covered under the Japan Rail Pass. If you’re taking a Karuizawa day trip from Tokyo or Nagano, be sure to take the Asama train, as it’s the only one that always stops in Karuizawa.
The buses between Shin-Fuji Station, Fujinomiya Station and the Fuji Five Lakes stop at the Shiraito Falls along the way. The one way trip from Kawaguchiko Station takes about 80 minutes and costs 1760 yen, and from Shin-Fuji Station it take about one hour and cost 1080 yen.
Getting there and around. Kusakaru Kotsu operates buses between Karuizawa Station and the Shiraito Waterfall (25 minutes, 720 yen one way, 1-2 buses/hour, less in winter). Get off at "Shiraito no Taki" bus stop (白糸の滝) from where the waterfall is a five minute walk.
