Ming Lan is good but it's an entirely different type of show. You might enjoy Ancient Detective, but its lower stakes and a bit funnier. Also might enjoy stuff like Handsome Siblings, Condor Heroes, that sort of thing. Sort of depends on what aspect of Joy of Life you enjoyed the most.
