Whitechapel is an area in London, England, and is located in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It is in East London and part of the East End. It is the location of Tower Hamlets Town Hall and therefore the borough town centre. Whitechapel is located 3.4 miles (5.5 km) east of Charing Cross.

- Whitechapel Bell Foundry. This famous bell foundry that had been open since 1570 and cast everything from handbells to church bells. Unfortunately, it has been closed since 2017, but you can still stop by and look at the outside of the place where America’s own Liberty Bell was first cast in 1752, Big Ben in 1856, and the Olympic Bell in 2012.
- Ten Bells Pub. The Ten Bells is one of the most historic pubs in Whitechapel, having existed on the site in one form or another since the mid-18 Century.
- Nomadic Community Garden. Community gardens have sprung up in cities all over the world, and the Nomadic Community Garden in Whitechapel has its own unique style that sets it apart.

- Street food. As well as street art, you’re going to find street food in Whitechapel. Remember the immigrants in the East End I mentioned earlier? Well, those original newcomers have left their mark in this part of London and it’s one of the most multicultural areas you’ll find in the city.
