by Viola Warden. The ring of the blessed Virgin Mary, also known as the “Holy Ring” or the “Santo Anello,” is traditionally believed to be the ring that St. Joseph gave to Mary at their wedding. This sacred relic is currently located in the city of Perugia, approximately 12 miles from Assisi, in the Cathedral of San Lorenzo.
