Grab a sandwich from the 5th Avenue Deli in Carmel before hitting the road. In Carmel, try La Bicyclette , a European-style bistro serving French and Italian cuisine from an ever-changing menu.

Mar 22, 2024 · Where to eat and drink after visiting the famous Monterey Bay Aquarium and before winding your way along 17-Mile Drive including Michelin Guide-listed Chez Noir and Aubergine.
- Shepherd’s Knoll. Shepherd’s Knoll is the first official stop on the 17 Mile Drive! It gives great views of Monterey Bay and even the Santa Cruz mountains, but from kinda far away.
- Huckleberry Hill. Wait – huckleberries?! YES! This stop on the 17 Mile Drive was named after all the native huckleberry bushes in this area. Although unfortunately you won’t be able to try any.
- Spanish Bay Beach and The Links at Spanish Bay. This is kinda a two-in-one, and one of my favorite 17 Mile Drive stops. There’s the Links at Spanish Bay (the golf course) and Spanish Bay Beach (which is, you guessed correctly, a beach!).
- Restless Sea. This will be another quick stop on the 17 Mile Drive. And like its name implies, this is one of the most turbulent sections of coastline over here in Pebble Beach!
Dec 13, 2023 · 17-Mile Drive Stop 3 - Spanish Bay Beach - Monterey to Carmel. If you are coming from Monterey to Carmel your first stop will be stop number 3 on the 17-mile drive map that you will receive at the 17-mile drive entrance. (Stops 1 and 2 are really out of the way.) Spanish Bay Beach is gorgeous. This is a great place to have a picnic.
There are no places to eat on this drive per my understanding. Howvever, there is a lodge near the entrance of 17 mile drive where you can stay and I believe they have good food. Other than that there are no restaurants on this drive. Your best bet is to eat near Monterey, they have lovely eateries.
Pebble Beach is bordered on one side by Pacific Grove and on the other by Carmel. Both towns have excellent restaurants--too many good ones to name them all, but here are a few of my favorites: In Pacific Grove, Red House Cafe, Taste Cafe and Bistro, Max's Grill.
