The area around Vardari Square is of interest also. To the west, we find Chinatown, while further down, towards the courts, we see the Ottoman central city building (Top Hane), built in 1546, when the Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent stayed in the city for a few months. Anaglyfou Tower, in the eastern part of the fortress, is Byzantine (862 AD).
Walking down the Karaoli-Dimitriou ton Kyprion street will lead you to Demokratias square. This was the largest entrance of the ancient city of Thessaloniki, the Golden Gate. Behind the courthouse and at the end of the Western Wall, “Top Hane” is located.

There are much restaurants, coffee shops and hotels. It leads to the sea. The pics are from 05th of July 2014.

Aristotelous square is located right in the center of the city, starting directly from the seafront. You can get to this place by city buses 3, 5, 5А, 6, 12, 33, 33А, 39, 39А. You can also go here by bicycle or car, but you should keep in mind that it is hard enough to find the place for car parking in the centre.
