This is the story of Princess Alys who was sent to England to marry Prince Richard (later King Richard I). I have read books about Eleanor of Aquitaine before however did not know the story of Alys. It was nice to read about Henri II’s court from a different perspective. Alys battled on as Henri’s mistress however I felt sad for her.
