It wouldn’t be fair to say that Ueckermünde is only good for being a seaside vacation spot with nothing else to offer. In the Old Town you’ll find many framework houses. On Rathausgasse 2 is a gorgeous example of an 18th century framework building (it’s now a welfare agency).
Timber-framed church. The village church Ahlbeck is a baroque, stately, rectangular timber-framed church from 1759. [2] The tower has an open dome. The furnishings ( altar, pulpit, matroneum) dates back to the 18th century. It is one of the finest examples of a timber-framed church in northern Germany.
