If the Big Daddy has a Little Sister with him and the player continuously stands in his way, the Big Daddy will become enraged in order to protect the threatened Little Sister. Red indicates rage towards assailants.
They can no longer produce ADAM, but they don't need to, and are no longer affected by the Protection Bond or Pheremones. These Big Sisters protect Little Sisters in a similar way that Big Daddies do- they accomodate, protect, and transport Little Sisters by using the cage-like basket on their back.
