Brattleboro (/ ˈ b r æ t əl b ʌr oʊ /), originally Brattleborough, is a town in Windham County, Vermont, United States, located about 10 miles (16 km) north of the Massachusetts state line at the confluence of Vermont's West River and Connecticut.
An urban arts, local food and shopping oasis, Brattleboro boasts a thriving downtown community of independent merchants along three blocks on the banks of the Connecticut River.
