In 2018, Bubba became the first African-American to become a full-time driver at the highest level of NASCAR, the Cup Series. In 2021, Bubba became the first Black driver to win a race in the Cup Series since Hall of Famer Wendell Scott at Speedway Park on Dec. 1, 1963.
