Ed Bishop had the title role in BBC Radio's Philip Marlowe radio drama series. Philip Marlowe is a fictional character created by Raymond Chandler in a series of novels including The Big Sleep; Farewell, My Lovely; and The Long Goodbye. Chandler is not consistent as to Marlowe's age.
