Mark David Frankel (13 June 1962 – 24 September 1996) was an English actor, known for his leading roles in the British film Leon the Pig Farmer and the American TV series Kindred: The Embraced.
His casting as Leon the Pig Farmer came about because, quite independently, he was selected for the role by both co-producer and co-director. Leon made him known, and he followed that, before Solitaire for 2, with a “Ruth Rendell Mystery”, Vanity Dies Hard, and a “Rik Mayall Presents”, Clair de Lune (both 1995).
His films were "Leon the Pig Farmer", "Solitaire for Two", "Young Catherine" and his last film in 1997 was "For Roseanna." He was a world-class championship tennis player on the international circuit, having won the Monte Carlo Open once.
