Farrands did his best to expand the Halloween universe from what H5 threw into the mix, and while both versions of the film aren’t great, I appreciate how he tried to expand the story of Michael Myers. Some people say that the background and mythos take away from the scariness of Myers, but I think it added a creepiness factor.

Instead, in the original ending, Tommy uses the runes to stop Myers, which carries more weight given the plot, but is not visually engaging. The rather ambiguous ending to the theatrical release, with Loomis yelling off camera, is bettered by the P-Cut.
