Jun 21, 2023 · The Scottish club had the option to sign Tillman for €6 million. Rangers will receive €1 million in compensation and 10% of the fee that Die Roten will get for him from another club. Tillman scored 12 goals for Rangers across all competitions. He also won the young player of the Season award from Scotland PFA.
Jul 13, 2023 · Rangers triggered the option to sign him permanently for £5 million, but the Bundesliga champions cancelled that which entitled the Ibrox club to significant compensation which reportedly included a £1 million fee and future add-ons.
