Apr 2, 2017 · It’s a very compelling production and it caught me by surprise because it certainly does not look like and 1951 movie. However, I did find a few things about it that I didn’t like. Without further a due, here’s my review of ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’.
Parents say ( 1 ): Kids say ( 3 ): Some critics say A Streetcar Named Desire has the best-ever acting in a Hollywood movie; it certainly shows why the dynamic young Marlon Brando become a legend. (And that was despite increasing eccentricities, scandals and grotesque career choices.)

mks2000. • 7 yr. ago. Tennessee Williams' original play is acclaimed for it's subtext about class and sexuality in an era in which such things were often kept out of sight and out of mind.
A Streetcar Named Desire is a superb film, elevated especially by superb writing and performances. The film does look beautiful, the photography is very skillful especially. Alex North's music is nice and authentic, while the story is always gripping and the direction very good.
