You should take the highest grade you are qualified for. Purposely taking a lower grade to 'get your foot in the door' isn't a good idea in most cases. Unless you're taking a ladder position with 'automatic' promotions. If not, you'll have to serve a year per grade to be able to apply to the next highest grade in the same job series.
I’m a new federal employee and the salaries are much lower than I thought they were, but I know the government is a good investment in the long run. I will look for ways to supplement my income but how did you all survive with the lower level salaries until you could move up to the next level?

Mar 23, 2014 · I currently play a koa GS, and the GS has become my favorite body size by far. I think the GS maintains the Taylor sound, but makes for a more appealing and rich sound. I would think that the GS 5 would have all of the sound I loved about the 514; just more of it. __________________. 96 Taylor 710.
