Recommendation. This film should be considered a classic, IMO. I rarely come across someone who’s HEARD of it, let alone seen it. Let that sink in. Everything is perfect, from the soundtrack to the cast, and let’s not forget all the brilliant one-liners and unforgettable scenes.
Critical responses were mixed, with Quigley having a 52% rating on Rotten Tomatoes from 21 reviews. Roger Ebert of The Chicago Sun-Times gave the film two-and-a-half out of four stars, writing it was a well-made but formulaic neo-western.
