  1. Jun 26, 2019 · Call it a swing in the right direction; the tie-in VR experience for Spider-Man: Far From Home is far from perfect, but it’s easily the best Spidey VR title to date. Following the disappointing ...

  2. The free play mode lets you free roam around New York and collect Spidey-Tokens, and play time trials and combat missions. It reminds me of some of the older Spider-Man video games (Spider-Man 2, Ultimate Spider-Man). What I really love though, is how they made the web swinging.

The Spider-Man: Far From Home Virtual Reality Experiencepicks up with Peter relaxing in his room, before being called by Ned who hastily tells him to put on his suit and go swinging around New York to finish up some errands. After a short tutorial teaching me how to swing, I was let loose, free to explore New York, running on the ground or swinging...

After a minute or so of swinging, drones start to appear around the city. All of a sudden, the screen fades to black and Peter is knocked out of the air. As Peter awakens, I look up and realise I am in front of a large mechanised robot that is half a skyscraper tall. Oh, and that robot uses chunks of the roads as armor. 3. Jun 26, 2019 · Spider-Man: Far From Home VR isn’t necessarily a great game. The small pool of missions get repetitive very quickly, the voice acting is awkward and there’s practically no story, and even the swinging isn’t amazing. However, the experience is short enough to where the problems don’t really get too irritating.

  4. Jun 25, 2019 · When you consider this is a free app Spider-Man: Far From Home VR becomes something of a guilty pleasure. It doesn’t have anything like the polish of, say, Marvel Powers United VR but, not unlike the classic Spider-Man 2 from 2004, the swinging is so much fun you can overlook the many technical blemishes.

  7. Jun 25, 2019 · Combat aside, the real magic of Spider-Man: Far From Home Virtual Reality is in the web-slinging. Despite the rough graphics and limited interactivity, casually flying above the streets of Manhattan as Spider-Man feels absolutely surreal, and the web-slinging mechanics, while simple, are extremely satisfying; especially for a free title.
