This is one of the cases where "best of" lists are actually a good guide for watching. Twilight Zone had some very good episodes, and overall it's entertaining, but the thematic setups and twist endings get repetitive and there were 160 episodes.

- The Actors. The list of actors who graced individual episodes of the original series reads like a Who’s Who of Hollywood. Some were young and unknown, while others were well-established at the time.
- The Twists. Despite its prodigious reputation in this regard, not every episode of The Twilight Zone deployed a shocking twist ending. However, those that did produced some incredibly memorable conclusions, which helped build that reputation for the show.

- "Time Enough at Last" (season 1, episode 8) Serling frequently cited this as his favorite episode of the entire series, and there's no reason to disagree with him: It's the strongest example of many of The Twilight Zone's unique strengths.

More often than not, episodes of The Twilight Zone were effectively morality plays, and the way they dealt with timeless issues means that many of the morals are still impactful today.
