Film Threat began as a xeroxed fanzine started by Chris Gore and Andre Seewood in 1985. Only 500 copies of the first issue were printed and then distributed on the campus of Wayne State University on February 6th, 1985.

Film Threat is definitely Mauler adjacent since Chris Gore is a frequent guest on Open Bar. I personally really like Film Threat (the YouTube Channel), they take almost the polar opposite approach to Mauler, where their reviews are typically on the shorter side (this is even more extreme on their website).
