While AEW was taping an episode of Dynamite in October 2020, Abadon injured themself in a match against Tay Conti,which was then stopped abruptly. They had gotten hit to the throat with an elbow and couldn't breathe. After the match, Abadon was rushed to a nearby hospital. They made a full recovery after a few weeks.
