    • The Blue Lagoon is based on a trilogy of books by Henry De Vere Stacpoole. 7. Roger Ebert July 03, 1980. Tweet. Now streaming on: Powered by JustWatch. This movie made me itch. It's about a young girl and a young boy who are shipwrecked on a beautiful Pacific Island. It shows how they grow up, mostly at sunset. It follows their progress as they discover sex and smile sweetly at each other, in that order.
