Jul 22, 2021 · Mark Chesnutt, legendary country and honky-tonk singer, underwent back surgery Thursday (July 22) after being forced to cancel numerous shows through September. Reps for Chesnutt announced earlier this month that the singer had been suffering severe back pain that would require “immediate surgery” and “a nine to ten week recovery period.”.
