Jordan kickstarted his acting career in various films such as the dramatic adaptation "Dead End" (1937) with Sylvia Sidney, "Angels With Dirty Faces" (1938) with James Cagney and the comedy adaptation "A Slight Case of Murder" (1938) with Edward G Robinson.
