As a member of three Olympic Teams in track and field in 1980, 1984 and 1988 and of two World Championship teams in 1983 and 1987, Willie learned much about the values of the Olympic Games.
A long jump and triple jump star on the athletic fields, Willie Banks was an NCAA postgraduate scholar and Top Five student-athlete who went on to graduate from UCLA Law School. During his athletic career, Banks ranked as the United States' top triple jumper five times and ranked among the top eight in world nine times.
