LaDainian Tomlinson, one of the Chargers' greatest players and one of the most prolific running backs in NFL history, has been officially selected for enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the Hall announced on Saturday. This was the first year Tomlinson was eligible for selection to the Hall.
LaDainian Tomlinson played 11 seasons for the Chargers and Jets. He had 3,174 carries for 13,684 yards, 624 catches for 4,772 yards and scored 162 touchdowns. He was selected to play in 5 Pro Bowls. He won 1 Offensive Player of the Year award, 1 MVP award and the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017.
