Aug 9, 2007 · In conclusion, Tales from Earthsea is a fairly poor movie for the standard of Ghibli work. That being said, there wasn’t enough cause for a walk-out or a shouty, sweary review.
The problem comes with marrying the film with its source material - as a result of enjoying the film I read the original Earthsea trilogy by Le Guin, and found that the books are just leagues better than the film.
Aug 13, 2010 · "Tales from Earthsea" is once again, wonderfully animated by Ghibli, and despite its usage of violence and finess lacking and its confusing plot elements, its rather not that bad.
