Nov 8, 2011 · The River Why was a wonderful experience for me. I know this is a DVD I will never tire of, and in fact, I will return to it often. I have never fished, the thought of it has always repulsed me, but this film has made me wish I did. Zach Gilford was perfect as Gus in the lead role.
