Aug 12, 2013 · First of all, Martin Kemp was amazing as George Joseph Smith, and my five stars are for his portrayal. However, if you've read many accounts of the 'Brides in the Bath' case (I've bought books on it since the early 1980s) the screenplay was much too heavily fictionalized in places, where the reality would have been just as good drama, if not better.
