Both have strong similarities...but "Super Nerds" managed to create nerdy characters (in particular, Gayle) who you just cannot like. I think this is the key to why the show failed. The program is set in a comic book store where Leslie (Patton Oswalt) works and Gayle (Brian Posehn) hangs out all the time.
