When Godzilla Raids Again was released in America in 1959 it was known as Gigantis, The Fire Monster where, unlike the Raymond Burr Godzilla, all the dialogue in the movie was dubbed. The film was dubbed at Ryder Sound Services in New York and featured the voice talents of Keye Luke, Paul Frees, and George Takei.

Produced and distributed by Toho Co., Ltd., it is the second film in the Godzilla franchise, and a sequel to Godzilla (1954).
