The title, "Wedding at the end of the World," is similar to the novel "Restaurant at the End of the Universe," part of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. The setting of the episode also has many parallels with one of the settings of the novel, particularly the titular restaurant.
I’m sorry, but trying to make a mystery of this does not work, and The Umbrella Academy only managed to defy expectations by having a mystery be so lame. Five should figure it out more easily.
