Phoenix Zoo, off N. Galvin Pkwy. in Papago Park, is home to more than 3,000 mammals, birds and reptiles. The 125-acre zoo features four trails and is home to Southwestern animals, African lions, Sumatran tigers, Bornean orangutans, Asian elephants, Masai giraffes and Komodo dragons.
Phoenix Zoo members are treated to a year-long free daytime admission, discounts, and exclusive invitations to exhibit premieres and events. Queues tend to be longer the later you go in the day, especially during weekends.
