Happily Ever After, however, takes a lighter tone, presenting its tragicomedy elements with family sitcom bemusement. There are deliberate variations in direction and cinematography as the story progresses, at times creating stark differently environments and moods with each scene, and contributing to the topsy-turvy atmosphere of the film.
