Aug 14, 2009 · Allen Shellenberger, founding member and drummer of the band Lit, lost his battle with brain cancer yesterday. He was 39-years-old. In May of 2008, the California native was diagnosed with a malignant glioma brain tumor and immediately underwent clinical trials, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments at the Cedars-Sinai Maxine Dunitz Neurosurgical Institute.
The drummer for the rock band 'Lit,' Allen Shellenberger, died on Thursday at age 39 of brain cancer. Shellenberger was diagnosed in May 2008 with rare form of brain tumor, a malignant glioma. He underwent radiation and chemotherapy treatments at the Cedars-Sinai Maxine Dunitz Neurosurgical Institute in Los Angeles.
