Arsenic and Old Lace is one of my favourite films. I have not watched it for over 25 years, but it is as beautifully made and as funny as the last time I watched it. I knew what was coming in action and the best lines and it was as familiar to me as if I had watched it yesterday. They just dont make films like this any more.

Oct 11, 2022 · Even my 19 and 23 year old sons (at the time of viewing) like it. -My wife less so, but then; she isn't really keen on screwball comedies. Although at times "Bringing up Baby" had her in stitches. "Arsenic and Old Lace" is one of the better screwball comedies and with Peter Lorre & Boris Karloff in supporting roles it really is a bit of a gem.
