The original Italian title of Mario Bava’s 1964 “Blood and Black Lace” is “Sei donne per l’assassino,” that is, “Six Women For The Murderer.” It’s certainly not the first work in cinema and literature to concern itself with the serial murder of women, but the upfront nature of the title and then, of course, of the film’s actual content suggests a border crossing of sorts.

Oct 24, 2007 · Blood and Black Lace is light on story but rich in style. As far as the plot goes, this is your standard murder mystery. Outside a fashion house, a young model is murdered by a masked killer whose appearance is reminiscent of the Phantom of the Opera. Right from the start, everybody acts suspiciously enough to be the killer.
Blood and Black Lace The owners of a modeling agency kill one of their girls, the only witness to a crime, trying to make it look like a sex maniac's attack. When one of her friends finds the girl's secret diary, the criminals must continue to kill and the situation becomes more and more complicated.
