In order to bring you emerging discoveries in the natural sciences and anthropology, our museum is constantly evolving. In 2019, the new U-M Museum of Natural History (UMMNH) opened in the brand new Biological Sciences Building, allowing us to expand our footprint and invite visitors to be a part of University of Michigan science.
Masks optional. The U-M Museum of Natural History inspires curiosity with exhibits that explore the natural world from molecules to dinosaurs, a planetarium to discover the Universe, science demonstrations, and U-M scientists discussing their research. Admission for individuals and families is free. Donations are always appreciated.

This museum, located on the University of Michigan Campus, houses the state's largest collection of dinosaur skeletons. Displays explore our natural history with special attention to Michigan's prehistoric past. The planetarium has a 360-degree domed screen that surrounds the audience.
