Aug 18, 2015 · the shroud isn't sealed to the radiator though it is tight to it with approx 3/4'' space from the shroud to the core. even rubber vibrating on the radiator core would eventually eat thru and create a leak in the core. as mentioned not sure it matters as long as the fan draws from the whole radiator. a 4'' space wouldn't help the draw, nor would ...
Aug 15, 2014 · These are Spal fans in a Be Cool set-up and they draw 17 amps each and in addition, I have an electric fuel pump. My PowerMaster 75 amp wasn't supplying enough to keep everything running and provide ample charge through #2 welding cable to the trunk mounted battery--eventually ruined an Optima Red Top.

Some electric fan do move far more air than stock mechanical fans. Jul 2, 2008 · It is a standard product made to fit a range of different radiators and the shroud does not cover the entire radiator. My current setup is a Ron Davis Radiator with a custom shroud with two Spal 12" fans. The switch from the Flex-a-Lite fans to the custom shroud and Spal fans was a major step up in performance.
