Apr 12, 2005 · This review is for the UK Westbound vinyl pressing described here: Funkadelic [Vinyl] I purposely avoided the 4 Men With Beards release, as I have heard bad things about their versions of these Funkadelic albums. This Westbound pressing, while made from a digital master, still sounds wonderful.

Feb 20, 2020 · Funkadelic was a departure from what was played on the radio as Black Music at the time. Before Funkadelic was released, Motown artists dominated the genres of R&B and soul. In terms of image, these groups and singers were well-packaged: they wore suits, had coordinated stage sets, and were tight in terms of execution.
