A student of Arnold Schoenberg, he composed his later works in a complex, highly individualized style based on Schoenberg's twelve-tone music technique. His Wozzeck (1925) is regarded as one of the masterpieces of 20th-century opera. He also composed a fine violin concerto (1935).
Lulu (composed from 1929 to 1935, premièred incomplete in 1937 and complete in 1979) is an opera in three acts by Alban Berg.Berg adapted the libretto from Frank Wedekind's two Lulu plays, Erdgeist (Earth Spirit, 1895) and Die Büchse der Pandora (Pandora's Box, 1904).
Alban Berg was a famous Austrian Composer, known for his personal rendition of the highly celebrated twelve-tone technique. His works with two other key personnel in music, Arnold Schoenberg and Anton Webern, made him very well known amongst the orchestral music community, thus he was known as a member of the Second Viennese School.
