The desire — the necessity! — to go back to college and get a degree in music had been building up ever since I committed myself to music around 1970. I’d taught myself to write music when writing out scores for the through-composed pieces I was composing for the Tim Ware Group.
In 1985, Tim formed Tim Ware Group v2.0. Tragically, Bob Alekno was killed in an automobile accident in 1995. Bob was a dear friend and a great human being, and is greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Dave, with violinist Darol Anger, formed the Turtle Island String Quartet, of which he is still a member.
Tim Ware Group v3. When Dave Balakrisnan eventually left the TWG to concentrate on the Turtle Island String Quartet, he was replaced by English violinist/guitarist Julian Smedley, who had played with The Clubfoot Orchestra and the Hot Club of San Francisco. Apr 29, 2019 · Tim Ware is now overseeing security for all 42 school districts in San Diego County. He is dedicated to instilling a lasting foundation of self-importance, respect, and purpose for students of San Diego. Tim excelled at Centennial High School in Compton, CA and was rewarded an athletic scholarship to the University of Southern California.
