Obwohl im Kielwasser vom weißen Hai entstanden, ist Alligator meiner Meinung nach doch (neben eben dem weißen Hai und Piranhas) der wohl beste Tierhorror-Film. Keine billigen CGI-Effekte wie teilweise heutzutage, gute Schauspieler, tolle und düstere Atmosphäre, sowie ein für damalige Zeiten ganz hervorragend getrickstes Monster.
