The false town tamer (James Craig who had killed the real one and takes his place) has to wipe out the town from a crippled saloon owner who seems to hire any gunslinger in the whereabouts.
Review by Vic Parratt ★½. Routine western in which a drifter (James Craig) kills a Town Tamer and takes his place in the town of Purgatory. Verdict....Poor picture and sound quality spoilt any enjoyment to be had from this movie. A loner (James Craig) on the lam wanders into an Old West town run by a disabled villain that no one wants to fight.
The title "Four Fast Guns" refers to the hero's expertise with a six-shooter as well as the three pistoleros hired to kill him. "Hell Bound" director William J. Hole Jr.'s western melodrama "Four Fast Guns" qualifies as a low-budget but above-average 'town tamer' sagebrusher with a good cast, compelling characters, and several surprises.
