  8. Nov 20, 2015 · Beowulf becomes greedy as he is offered extrinsic rewards. We see that greed can bring on a persons downfall. Beowulf is an example of that. He became so greedy that he picked a fight with the dragon that lead to his death. I thought this story was interesting. I enjoyed reading "Beowulf" and would recommend this book to anyone I know.
