Unstoppable - Review: 'Unstoppable' is an action drama which will probably alienate those viewers who expected a Korean version of 'Taken'. Even if this is how the movie was mainly marketed, the flick would hardly have a right to exist if it were just a 'Taken' knock-off.
May 13, 2019 · It has been said about “Unstoppable” that it plays like a Korean version of “Taken”, and that viewpoint is not entirely wrong. It does, after all, feature an ex-hardman gone the family way having a loved family member kidnapped and doing everything in his powers to get them back.
Nov 30, 2018 · Unstoppable (2018) Review. By Paul Bramhall. It’s fair to say that if The Man from Nowhere was Korea’s Taken, then Unstoppable is Korea’s Taken 2. One had Won Bin tracking down the traffickers who kidnapped his neighbour’s child, while the other has Ma Dong-seok tracking down the traffickers who’ve kidnapped his wife.
Nov 30, 2018 · Unstoppable: Directed by Kim Min-Ho. With Ma Dong-seok, Song Ji-hyo, Kim Sung-oh, Kim Min-jae. Dong-Chul (Don Lee) and Ji-Soo (Song Ji-Hyo) are a happily married couple. One day, Dong-Chul comes home to find his house in disarray and his wife is missing.
At the end of the day, Unstoppable is by no means an excellent movie that should be watched by everyone. However, it's an entertaining action-thriller with some surprising situation comedy and a charismatic lead actor who might as well be considered South Korea's best contemporary male actor by now.
Review: Unstoppable (성난황소), which literally translates to “Raging Bull” is the most recent entry in the seemingly ever-growing library of Don Lee (a.k.a. Ma Dong-seok) action/thriller films.
