Nov 16, 2023 · My husband and I made a special point to cross over the Texas Street bridge instead of I-20 during our visit to Shreveport, LA. The 1934 bridge is in the downtown/casino area. Shreveport and Bossier City are on opposite sides of the Red River. The bridge is also called the Long-Allen bridge. There is a sideway on both sides of the bridge.
